Reminiscence module promotes CXL 2.0 adoption

Micron is sampling its CZ120 reminiscence growth module, which contains a PCIe 5.0 x8 interface and helps the Compute Specific Hyperlink (CXL) 2.0 normal. The CXL Sort 3 module supplies storage capacities of 128 Gbytes and 256 Gbytes in an EDSFF E3.S 2T kind issue.

With a dual-channel reminiscence structure and Micron’s high-volume manufacturing DRAM course of, the CZ120 achieves increased module capability and elevated bandwidth. The system has a learn/write bandwidth of as much as 36 Gbytes/s (measured by working MLC workload with 2:1 learn/write ratio on a single CZ120 reminiscence growth module).

“Micron is advancing the adoption of CXL reminiscence with this CZ120 sampling milestone to key clients,” commented Siva Makineni, vp of the Micron Superior Reminiscence Methods Group. “Now we have been creating and testing our CZ120 reminiscence growth modules using each Intel and AMD platforms able to supporting the CXL normal. Our product innovation coupled with our collaborative efforts with the CXL ecosystem will allow quicker acceptance of this new normal, as we work collectively to fulfill the ever-growing calls for of information facilities and their memory-intensive workloads.”

Certified clients and companions can enroll in Micron’s Know-how Enablement Program (TEP) to achieve early entry to technical data and help to assist within the improvement of CXL-enabled reminiscence growth merchandise.
