Nick Hawes is a Professor of AI and Robotics on the College of Oxford, the place he directs the Oxford Robotics Institute (ORI). Throughout the ORI he leads the Aim-Oriented Autonomous Lengthy-Lived Programs (GOALS) group which researches decision-making for autonomous programs beneath uncertainty, together with robots and human-robot groups.
